I found Search Engine when Freakonomics featured their electric car episodes. Such a wonderful show! Topics of all kinds, genuine curiosity, lovely host! A new friend and a happy one. I have now gone through the whole archive and considering joining the incognito club. Lovely!

In addition to really enjoying the random and interesting topics, I have to say that PJ makes me smile while I listen. His laugh is infectious and I finish listening feeling better about the world and myself. Thanks, PJ, for a great listening experience!!

This is a great podcast. I enjoy it, but please stop saying “like”. It is so irritating and makes you and the guest sound like you’re HS students.

I have enjoyed PJ Vogt’s work for a long time, I’ve even told my friends that I will listen to anything he creates. Search Engine is another hit! This show is fun because the SE team will take a topic and turn it over to find the hidden facets in it, making the listener see something, or think of something they’ve never considered. Even if I don’t agree with every opinion or assumption, the show approaches topics with curiosity and open-mindedness which is infectious. Five stars!

I love the wide ranging topics for this show and PJ’s ability to explain them. There is no one better at coming up with an easy to understand, often silly, analogy for a complex topic.

Know matter what the topic, it is always very fascinating

When I see a new episode of Search Engine I know I am in for an educational show that grabs my attention and keeps it.

I enjoyed the episode on GLP-1s. It was very informative and interesting. The idea that in can help with inflammation could be amazing for so many diseases that are caused or made worse by inflammation. Women going through menopause and perimenopause actually have real physical symptoms that make can make their lives very uncomfortable or even painful. In addition the massive hormonal changes can also affect chronic illnesses they already have. Hormone replacement therapy can help with those. This is not a cosmetic thing and frankly hearing it compared to plastic surgery and men’s hair transplants is offensive.

Well-crafted stories orbiting interesting topics ranging from current events to seemingly random adventures through curious nooks.

I followed PJ here from Reply All. At first I thought this podcast was going the way of the crypto-bro, but luckily once we left crypto island the topics were a nice mix. I really enjoyed the recent look into autonomous driving vehicles, it cleared up a lot of sketchy information from the news and made me hopeful for safer and more eco friendly driving in the future.

Well researched, properly fact checked, fascinating topics - every time. Have been listening to their seemingly endless archive of great episodes for weeks now, and I'm not running out anytime soon! The structure is intellectually stimulating while not being overwhelmingly pessimistic or jargon-y, a balance that's hard to find when looking to be productive with what I'm listening to, wanting to learn about the world without becoming emotionally destroyed by the level of awful things happening around us. Search Engine is able to talk about those difficult subjects (plus a healthy balance of less serious, still fascinating topics) without making me want to crawl into a cave and never listen to the news again! Looking forward to the newest episode. Thanks for the great work you guys do.

PJ does a great job at grabbing my interest on topics that normally I wouldn’t be interested in. I will say this podcast will help you become more interesting as you learn these random topics with PJ.
