Fascinating show!
Never boring, always informative! I definitely never miss an episode
Weird and interesting
Love this podcast! Always fascinating topics and deep dives into topics I’ve never thought about
Informative and entertaining.
This show does a really good job of going between serious and important topics and silly, fun questions. I look forward to new episodes and find PJs voice and cadence to be delightful to listen to.
100 stars
One of the best podcasts out there. Relevant, smart, well-researched, and always interesting!
I love this show
Are you a curious person who spends a lot of time in your own head? Then this is the show for you! I’ve been a fan of PJ since the reply-all days. The way the questions are posed, the answers themselves, and the personal anecdotes PJ adds along the way make the stories come together in a way that just clicks for my brain.
a great podcast
if I ever need a conversation starter, I almost always default to the most recent episode of Search Engine. Been a long time fan. Keep up the great work
Asking the tough questions
Well at least asking questions. Tough, nonsense, and otherwise. Excellent show!
Always interesting and entertaining
Love search engine! Always has interesting topics presented in a very unique way. Take a moment to check it out!
I think this podcast does a good job of maintaining complexity
I’m trying to cultivate more longform content in my life and search engine has been a great form of that!
So good
PJ Vogt is unbelievably talented and his level of curiousness is impressive.
PJ is back and as good (or better) than ever!
For those of us who watched his old show and were bummed by its end, this scratched the itch. He’s back at it with interesting topics. One of the great producers from the old show, Shruthi, is apparently also with him. Fantastic show, and I never miss an episode!
A favorite
I’ve been listening to Search Engine from the first episode, having followed PJ from his previous show, Reply All. I love the questions he pursues and the ways he goes about answering them. It seems he almost always finds guests with the same level of excitement in their curiosity about a subject as PJ brings. It’s a delight, as is his former co-host’s show, Hyperfixed.
It’s good.
The show is very good just go listen to it.
Top-Notch
It’s nice having PJ back in the podcast space. The show is genuine, endearing, and earnest in the most positive of ways. Always enjoy new episodes and feel like I learn something new every time.
I love it
This is such a fun show to listen to! Curious and open-minded and silly
A must listen.
This podcast quickly and easily made its way to my regular rotation. Such a good deep dive into less obvious but compelling and engaging stories. I look forward to every new episode!
Always fascinating
Of all the great podcasts out there, this is the one we listen to first when it shows up in our feed.
Highlight of my day
I always look forward to new episodes - thoughtful, interesting content
Must listen content
You know that feeling you get when a new podcast episode pops up and you get legit excited for how you’re spending the next 30-60 minutes? This is one of those. It’s basically [insert cool/weird/fascinating topic] for dummies with incredibly engaging and well written content. I’ve never recommended it to anyone who didn’t love it.
It’s PJ so of course it’s amazing
This show is incredible. If you know him you love him and this new show is such a direct line to his kind, brilliant, honest, hilarious, creative, genuine, humble, inquisitive brain. I can’t think of anyone else I’d trust more to keep safe and help answer those impossible questions that keep me from sleep at 3am. So excited for the rest is the season.
Gem podcast in a sea of blah
As someone who consumes 3-4 hours of podcasts a day, my timeline has become bloated with content that started with promise, only to lose creative steam. Does that stop these tired hosts from posting? No. Instead, they double down with increased content to wring as much advertising revenue as possible out of this medium. Which I completely understand…creatives need to eat too. So when a show like Search Engine comes along, I’m reminded why I fell in love with this medium in the first place. It’s one of the rare shows that drives me to scroll past pages of podcast releases, most of which will age into obscurity before I hear them, in hopes that I’ll find the morsel I crave above all others. It’s a great day when Search Engine drops. PJ Vogt is a unique voice, whose personal style is both engaging and informative, without informing us against our will. His research is compelling, his conversational approach is fresh, and he’s able to cross all demographic boundaries. When PJ laughs out loud, so do I. When he feels anxiety, I feel it with him. I discovered PJ on Reply All after hearing one of the greatest podcasts of all time, “The Case of the Missing Hit.” I’ve played that show for literally dozens of people, it’s that good. Since starting Search Engine, I’ve been mesmerized by Berghain even though I’m not gay, been gripped by a mysterious Buckingham pool even though I’m not an Anglophile, and purchased a Smarter Scrubber even though I rarely grill food. That’s the power of Search Engine. You won’t be disappointed.
The best
What are the best podcast out there always look forward to the next episode.
Explaining the things we should all know about
This is one of the best podcasts out there. The questions and topics—whether serious or silly—are always engaging and thought-provoking. They’re presented in a way that really makes me think. PJ and his team are incredibly talented at what they do. Thanks, guys!
Great spiritual successor to reply all
It's just such an interesting show and the production is phenomenal
