It’s good to be hearing PJ’s voice regularly again
I’m enjoying this show! Some episodes are silly and some thought-provoking and brilliant. I’m always happy when I see a new episode has dropped.
Fantastic podcast!
PJ is a singular story teller. I loved reply all and this is definitely filling the void for me! Keep up the great work!
Great podcast
Five stars for the theme music alone, I could listen to that forever. But besides that, the topics and the discussions are really interesting and enjoyable
Entertaining
Big fan of the show. The recent chicken bone episodes were hilarious.
Amazing storytelling
Very thoughtful episodes with great storytelling. Loved the ones about the sushi, fentanyl, amphetamines, chicken bones, and housing choice vouchers. Every episode is really well edited.
One of the greatest podcast hosts
This is one of those shows where you listen to every episode because you didn’t realize you would care about the subject, but end up thoroughly invested by the time it’s over. PS I didn’t realize how much I liked about Reply All was actually just PJ (no offense, Alex).
Welcome Back
Tell your buddy Pete the “fertile” crescent was hundreds of miles north of Egypt. Accuracy counts
Humans are the invasive species, not the cats
I’d just like for that to be acknowledged. We are the parasite destroying the planet, no matter where else we’d like to point the finger. Now that it’s been said, love the podcast, thanks for all the great reporting.
Such a great podcast
Thank you PJ and everyone else that is a part of this podcast. It is by far one of my favorite podcasts. With every episode, this podcast just gets better and better. I think to myself that there is no way you can top the last episode…and then you do! But, the Molly Ringwald episode… you have hit the epitome of podcast greatness. Molly is absolutely brilliant and so very graceful. As usual, you were great as well PJ. But, as for Molly…she most definitely completed the assignment. There is no way that you will ever be able to top the Molly episode. Thank you Molly. Thank you PJ. Thank you to everyone associated with this podcast.
My favorite show of the last few months
I’m one of those people who doesn’t take the time to review even if it’s something that I absolutely love. I felt compelled to write this to PJ know that this show is absolutely fantastic, insightful, and an amazing balance of well produced and spontaneously vulnerable.
Fantastic!
I missed hearing PJs laugh - So glad it’s back on the air! Such an interesting, well-produced podcast.
Ideal for late night bottle feeds
Search Engine is both delightful and insightful, and it has sustained me through many a late night bottle with our newborn! It has made me walk through the world a little more curious.
Kudos
PJ is a delight. Honest and courageous in a way that might fly under the radar but deserves significant recognition. ESPECIALLY for the ADHD episode !!!
One of the best! Love PJ!
I do not know what it is about PJ, but just the way he talks is so soothing, the way he thinks is so matter-of-fact, but also thought-provoking, that this has got to be one of the most entertaining easy to listen to educational shows I’ve found.
Great show!!
I’m soo happy to find PJ has a new show! I loved Reply All and was so sad to see it fall apart. Thank you for continuing your awesome work!
Funny, interesting, honest
I love this show so much. Even when the episode’s topic is something I don’t think applies to me, or that I’m particularly interested in, I end up loving the episode—and learning and laughing. PJ and I seem to have similar senses of humor, so I appreciate the awkwardness of some of the questions and interactions. I appreciate PJ’s curiosity and willingness to admit when he’s been wrong or his assumptions were wrong. Just a great listen all around.
💜 search engine but
I was truly offended by that add for a program featuring a misogynistic rant/request for 1%.
Fascinating
I grabbed the two-part podcast about fentanyl and didn’t expect that much because I know a lot about the crisis but I learned so much and the perspective that former drug dealer provided was very valuable. I would highly recommend.
Is it all funny?
Is there any basic fact these dudes don’t find hilarous?
Thoughtful Show
PJ: I really enjoy the show. I’m willing to listen to episodes on topics I don’t care about, because I trust you will make it worth my hour. Keep it up. Listeners: If the life in your mind is at least as vibrant as your physical life, then add this podcast to your rotation. If self-reflection isn’t your jam, then this might not be for you. Try it anyway.
Yes! You are back!
I’m loving every episode so far!
Awesome podcast!
Love every episode!!
Terrific but needs to include LINKS!
I’ve now binged every episode, chronologically, up to July 2023 (don’t drink airplane water, featuring Antony) and have noticed this lazy (selfish?) problem in the show notes: no links! Yes, you give Antony’s last name, but why would you not include at least one link to him elsewhere?! Do I want to go to your website to search for old shows and hope you have links there? No, that’s why I’m listening and not messing around on the internet. Content, production value, interviews, and personality are all fab. But it seems mean or sloppy to not include at least one link for your interviewee/s… the person/s that make your idea a show. Please assign an intern to bring your show up to the standards of the podcasts that introduce your work to their subscribers. Thanks I’m advance.
PJ!!!!!
I’m one happy former RA listener! Glad to hear you again and, so far, I am loving what I am hearing. Excellent content, perfectly researched as usual.
