I love Fond Du Lac Apartment Mystery and Why Are We Still Buying Diamonds and recommend them both as a good starting place.
While PJ’s perspective is charming, I do find myself wishing he’d bring in a broader range of viewpoints. The inclusion of more diverse voices could elevate the the already fascinating narrative. However, this minor wish doesn’t detract from the overall excellence.
This fills the Reply All shaped hole in my heart and I hope they see success so we can enjoy many more seasons to come.

Great show!
I was a huge fan of Reply All, and so sad when it went off the air. i’m so happy to see PJ back and telling stories. Give this show a listen; you really won’t regret it. The storytelling is superb and the topics are very interesting.

Search Engine is a standout podcast that has a unique way of drawing listeners into unexpectedly fascinating topics. Vogt’s skill in making the obscure engaging is impressive, and his ability to maintain my interest in subjects I wouldn’t think to explore is a testament to his talent as a host.
The production of the podcast is both comfortable and exciting, striking a balance that enhances the listening experience. The format is one of its strongest points, seamlessly blending in-depth investigations, engaging guests, and intriguing takes on weekly news topics into a cohesive and thought-provoking package.

A Gem
This is one of those podcasts (like Ologies) where even if you don’t find the subject matter particularly interesting at face value PJ will pull you in and make it an entertaining, engaging, and informative little journey. Really great work by him and the rest of the team of people that put these together.

PJ Vogt is *chef’s kiss*
I’d listen to anything he makes. In fact, I have.
But this one is my favorite. He’s self deprecating and cannot stop looking for answers until he gets to the bottom of whatever is itching at him. If you liked the investigative stories and playful banter with guests on Reply All, he is everything that was good about it.

I’m here because of Reply All. RA was my favorite podcast. But it’s been usurped by Search Engine. This is such a fantastic podcast. I’m telling all of my friends about it.

Equal parts captivating and rigorous
PJ brings the type of journalism that is equal parts captivating and rigorous. I love his honest self reflection and inquiry, it is what sets the show apart from other podcasts. You will grow to love (or hate?) the way he sees the world. In the end, I don’t think that matters which side you land on. I wish more journalists presented themselves and their curiosity about the world in the way that search engine does.

No words are excellent enough
It delves into the human perspective on subjects big and small that is honest, objective, kind and impactful. The ads arent so brash as to destroy the ambience of the wonderful world that you walk into through the looking glass of his honest journalism. Keeps an in depth an open minded approach to every subject. Plus…. Who hasnt missed PJ from long ago in his previous podcast. It feels like this american life, 99 percent invisible or invisibilia where the daily subjects are brought to light in a new way.
