Listener Reviews

One of the best! Love PJ!
I do not know what it is about PJ, but just the way he talks is so soothing, the way he thinks is so matter-of-fact, but also thought-provoking, that this has got to be one of the most entertaining easy to listen to educational shows I’ve found.
Great show!!
I’m soo happy to find PJ has a new show! I loved Reply All and was so sad to see it fall apart. Thank you for continuing your awesome work!
Funny, interesting, honest
I love this show so much. Even when the episode’s topic is something I don’t think applies to me, or that I’m particularly interested in, I end up loving the episode—and learning and laughing. PJ and I seem to have similar senses of humor, so I appreciate the awkwardness of some of the questions and interactions. I appreciate PJ’s curiosity and willingness to admit when he’s been wrong or his assumptions were wrong. Just a great listen all around.
💜 search engine but
I was truly offended by that add for a program featuring a misogynistic rant/request for 1%.
Fascinating
I grabbed the two-part podcast about fentanyl and didn’t expect that much because I know a lot about the crisis but I learned so much and the perspective that former drug dealer provided was very valuable. I would highly recommend.
Is it all funny?
Is there any basic fact these dudes don’t find hilarous?
Thoughtful Show
PJ: I really enjoy the show. I’m willing to listen to episodes on topics I don’t care about, because I trust you will make it worth my hour. Keep it up. Listeners: If the life in your mind is at least as vibrant as your physical life, then add this podcast to your rotation. If self-reflection isn’t your jam, then this might not be for you. Try it anyway.
Yes! You are back!
I’m loving every episode so far!
Awesome podcast!
Love every episode!!
Terrific but needs to include LINKS!
I’ve now binged every episode, chronologically, up to July 2023 (don’t drink airplane water, featuring Antony) and have noticed this lazy (selfish?) problem in the show notes: no links! Yes, you give Antony’s last name, but why would you not include at least one link to him elsewhere?! Do I want to go to your website to search for old shows and hope you have links there? No, that’s why I’m listening and not messing around on the internet. Content, production value, interviews, and personality are all fab. But it seems mean or sloppy to not include at least one link for your interviewee/s… the person/s that make your idea a show. Please assign an intern to bring your show up to the standards of the podcasts that introduce your work to their subscribers. Thanks I’m advance.
PJ!!!!!
I’m one happy former RA listener! Glad to hear you again and, so far, I am loving what I am hearing. Excellent content, perfectly researched as usual.
A new perspective!! Love it!
Loving this podcast! So much info not heard before!
Best find of 2024!

New discovery
I learned about Search Engine from TTFA, one of my favorite podcasts. I ended up listening to 5 episodes of Search Engine. Great content, great writing and interesting and engaging. I was captivated and instantly hooked. Amazing work on all episodes but particularly Fentanyl episodes. Such diverse and interesting sources of information and highly relevant topic. Great work!
True talent
Experience this while it’s still small and pure.
Different but just as good
It’s hard to follow up a show like Reply All but you did it. I look forward to every Friday’s episode :)
Good pod
This fills my RA void. PJ always seems to do.his homework and knows how to tell a story.
Yes!
I’m leaving this review before I even listen to this because I am SO happy that PJ has a new show. I’ve been so sad since he left reply all. I cannot wait to listen. Thank you
Fantastic, curious show
This show is carried by PJ’s curiosity and ability to bounce ideas with interviewees and get insights out of those exchanges. I loved Reply All and was sad to see it end (both the PJ/Alex era and what followed). IMO, this show has the best of that - exploring interesting things about the world with people who actually have insightful stuff to say.
You’re doing great!
A little extra love for the missing speed. 😜 Now stop reading reviews and get back to work! Man, we missed your perspective and voice.
Followed PJ For Years! Glad he’s back!
Thanks for staying curious. I loved Reply All and this new series I think will be great! Keep telling stories. I will keep listening!
Vulture made me do it!
I found this podcast on vultures list of best podcasts of 2023. I was a huge fan of reply all in the past and so I was excited to hear this new project by PJ. i’m only two episodes in and I’ve already obsessed and sharing it with my friends. I love the way that he tells stories and the playfulness of the interviews.
Excellent
Love this show, love PJ and his reporting style. Always thoughtful, thought provoking and accessible storytelling. I’ll always miss Reply All but I’m glad that we’re getting an excellent show from some of the original RA peeps.
Love how PJ tells stories
I love how PJ (with Truthi) tells stories. The self deprecating nature of PJ's jokes are great, it's one of the few pods where I get deep belly laughs (usually when PJ does), and the pod's guests are world class.
