My favorite podcast at the moment
I have been enjoying this show very much. Especially the one on stimulant drugs for ADHD. PJs reporting is immaculate, thoughtful and really fun to listen to. A breath of fresh air.
Great Listening!
Very well researched and thoughtful. I was missing PJs stories. I came in a bit late so I have been binge listening on my commute to work. Love these questions!
More great stories by PJ and crew
Since back in the TL;DR days and through Reply All, I’ve loved the vaguely internet-adjacent stories that PJ and crew have been creating. Search Engine is more greatness in that same vein. The way PJ brings the listener along the journey with him is one that to me always feels like that learning and discovery sensation which is so satisfying. Keep making great stuff, please!
PJ and Sruthie do magic work
The pacing and scope are beautiful. PJ is really good at describing things. The theme song is gorgeous.
Current Favorite Podcast
Incredible stories that are masterfully told. It’s currently the #1 podcast I am excited to see show up in my feed!
Love it
Thoughtful and funny. Always an immediate listen for me.
Review
Because this is how the internet works.
Really interesting show
The show is well produced and I most enjoyed the two episodes about amphetamines and hearing how the host's personal story tied in. Thanks for the quality content!
Great!!!
Incredible show
everything I want in a podcast
Richly researched, compassionately told, and entertaining stories about things that are relevant but not topical — this show is a breath of fresh air. I listen to get off the 24 hour news cycle merry go round while hearing about the humans behind the headlines. Somehow, the questions asked always hit on things I’ve been thinking about lately - maybe this show is psychic, or maybe the cultural conversation is more powerful than I realized. If that’s true, this show has its finger on the pulse of that cultural conversation and is adding more humor, expertise, insight, and reflection than any other show I’ve heard recently. Bravo!
Amazing podcast by a true gem of a human
Often personal, always insightful, I listen to PJ Vogt all the time, sometimes repeatedly. I’m amazed at the quality of his reporting; he asks and tries to answer the questions I have, but didn’t think of.
Perfect blend
It’s hard to find a show that has the perfect blend of thoughtfulness, humor, vulnerability, and research. Each episode has blown my mind in an unexpected way, while entertaining the crap out of me. I’ve introduced this show to my 75 year old father and now he loves “that google show from that nice young man.”
Great show
Always interesting discussions
Great podcast
Thank you so much PJ for this show. So well researched and reported. You are telling the adhd/stimulant story so well. Keep up the good work
always interesting
the two-parter on stimmies is really good
Great
Look forward to it every week
Thoughtful and unique podcast
This podcast asks such interesting questions. The research feels complete and well balanced. It often leaves me feeling informed and yet uncertain. I do miss Alex though. Thanks for the outstanding podcast!
Glad PJ is still in the game
I was sad to hear PJ was leaving Reply All, but I’m glad he started this show. Good topics and well-produced.
Welcome Back PJ!
I’m so glad that I finally found PJ’s podcast. It’s so nice to hear his voice again. As always, compelling stories & interesting angles!
Informative and Interesting
I love the concept of this podcast. And of course PJ’s narration and introspection are captivating as always. I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time now.
Always worth a listen
Every episode’s quality is great (whether I’m interested in the subject or not). Always worth a listen.
Complicated answers
PJ said to rate and review this show and, as I lack strong role models and am thus easily influenced, I’m gonna do anything PJ says! But also it’s fantastic content. Simple questions have complicated answers. In a time when the loudest, clearest voice is often the one heard despite being the wrongest, the ambling uncertainty I find in this podcast is deeply refreshing.
PJ is back
Always thought provoking, can’t wait to hear the next one every week. Boy in Photo is one of my favorite podcast episodes of all time and I’m happy to have PJ’s voice back.
