Used to love Reply All, hands down my favorite - now so happy to have Search Engine. Always interesting topics, great research and conversations. I always listen to it as soon as it comes out. As a side note - that spooky guest show episode last week was a huge disappointment.
I Heart PJ Vogt
Reply All was my favorite podcast. Search Engine tells similarly interesting and kind-of weird stories, but also feels a little more thoughtful and grown up. I am thrilled every-time I see an episode in my feed.
This show is such a gem
Ever since parts 1 and 2 of the crime machine, episodes of PJ’s previous podcast, Reply All, that detailed the surprising history of stop and frisk/broken windows policing, PJ has been my absolute favorite and most trusted investigative journalist. He approaches every topic he takes on with detail, nuance, and humor, all while making it completely comprehensible to someone coming in with no context or history on the matter. Even when covering subjects that I think I have little to no interest on, like cryptocurrency, PJ and the team make every story an enjoyable, relevant, and insightful ride. Highly recommend!!
Fascinating subjects, great execution

This is in my all time favorites! Keep it up PJ!-from a farmer in MT
PJ Vogt makes the best podcast
So so glad to have you back in my ear. Just listened to part 1 of the ADHD podcast and I’ve never felt more seen. You articulated so many thoughts and feelings I’ve had that I’ve never been able to describe. “The nervous system of someone that’s been sitting in highway traffic jam”. That hit home. Excited for part 2.
Gimme More
I loooove Search Engine!! I almost wish I’d found it years from now when it had multiple seasons I could binge. Instead I happily suffer through the slow and reasonable drip of being in love with a show that’s currently in production and airing weekly. Please keep making episodes and happy searching 🖤
Whoa!
This is the podcast that you didn’t know you NEED!As a fan of PJ’s from his previous podcast (Reply All), I’ve been quietly listening to Search Engine the last few months. I’m ready to declare that Search Engine is one of my very favorite podcasts that I devour as each episode hits the feed. Today’s episode on taking stimulants for ADHD, hit the bull’s eye for me so hard that it motivated me to write this review (even though I’m also no longer on these drugs!). It feels like he’s diving into my mind for all the unanswered questions that I didn’t know I needed answered.
My New Favorite Podcast
So good! I look forward to the next episode every Friday. Interesting and well researched subjects that let me see something I thought I understood from a fresh perspective. Glad to have PJ back in my ears!
Great show
I love the work PJ and the Search Engine team puts out. The episodes have been great so far. I’m definitely planning on wearing an outlandish outfit to visit the monkeys in the zoo. Please keep doing what you’re doing!

One of my favorite podcasts. I never miss an episode. Highly recommend!
Long time fan
I have listened to Pj through TLDR, Reply All, Crypto Island and now Search Engine. I was sorry that Reply all broke up. Yes,yes,no was my favorite. Search Engine is a great show that hits on topics that are current and done in a way that you won’t find other places.
Other World Penalty
Update - came back just to remove a star for that garbitty goop nonsense Other World you let on your feed…I hope you just did it for a paycheck. Angered me because in my original review I called PJ a great journalist, then this drivel…COME ON MAN! Love PJ…I miss his snarky humor he displayed on Reply All, but he’s a great journalist contributing high quality and interesting stories. Please never disappear again!
This has been great
The whole concept is cool with great execution. I look forward to what comes next.

Mostly hits, some misses. Nags to subscribe to pj’s newsletter are a bit annoying. Glad this exists!
The perfect tone
I’ve listened to PJ since Reply All and absolutely love his measured, self-effacing, yet extremely insightful tone. There’s a balance there that very much resonates with me.
Yay!
I have always loved PJ Vogt and I’m so stoked he’s back! Doing a happy dance 🕺loving the podcast.
Love PJ
So glad he’s back. Conversation with Ezra was so good. Gave me the push off Twitter I needed.
So glad you’re back!
Big Reply All fan here who realized after you left that I was actually just a big PJ fan. Also I came here to say I’m so glad you got off twitter after listening to the internet ep with Ezra! One more note, never edit out the laugh.
PJ the Goat
I thought Reply All was the best show ever but Search Engine has topped that. In particular the most recent episode with Ezra Klein about getting off social media hit me hard as I had quit Twitter 2 1/2 months ago after being on for over 16 years and I thought that no one could understand why I did it, but this episode encompassed everything I was thinking, and makes me feel not so crazy for not being on social media anymore. Sorry for the run-on sentence. and yes, I sleep with my phone under my pillow but I’m going to stop that too. Nothing is so important that I need to be notified right at that moment.
Comfort
I went back to listen to old episodes of another podcast, because I missed PJs voice. That led me to stumble onto this podcast, and I am so pleased. So pleased to have this man’s familiar voice educating me on things I didn’t know I wanted to know about. I like that someone else with anxiety, eases me through mine.
Great find
I listen while I’m running and every time I have to stop and laugh at least once. I think I’m either smiling or smirking the whole time.
Love the Show
I love the show and my awesome ability to write a title. I’m so glad PJ came out with this podcast, I love the questions and find it enlightening to think about things I a different way. While listening to the episode about finding new music, I have never felt so seen as when PJ was talking about discovering music on TikTok and feeling guilty over liking a pop song. This spoke to me on a real deep and adulty level that only recovering punk/emo kids in their late 30s can feel. A+++ from a fellow irrelevant old lady.
